The company was pleased to have a feature article in the highly regarded online medtech news site, MedCity News. The article highlighted the successful proof-of-concept study presented in May 2016 at the World Congress of Podiatry.
After a three year R&D effort, ScanDx presented it’s first clinical research abstract at the World Congress of Podiatry in Montreal. This abstract highlighted the accuracy of its product, FractureDx, at diagnosing bone fractures without the use of x-rays. The smartphone-based prototype demonstrated 100% accuracy when compared to plain film x-rays of documented foot and ankle fractures.
“We were gratified to have our abstract accepted to this prestigious meeting” noted ScanDx CEO Todd O’Brien. “Many of the attendees recognized the potential impact of the technology. This was especially apparent in the younger physicians and students who appreciated the mobility, low cost and inherent safety of the system.”
